Welcome to Wild Health Hub: Why We’re Here

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by health advice, unsure where to start, or like wellness has become one more thing on your to-do list—you’re not alone. And you’ve just landed in the right place.

Welcome to Wild Health Hub, a space where ancient wisdom meets modern living, where fermentation jars share bench space with laptops, and where vibrant health starts with curiosity—not perfection.

I created this blog to bring real-life wellness back down to earth. To make it feel possible. Playful. And personal again.

So, What Is Wild Health?

Wild Health is about remembering what your body already knows.

It’s about slowing down just enough to hear your intuition. About reconnecting with your senses, your environment, and your breath. It’s the gentle, everyday act of choosing to live in harmony with your body—not in opposition to it.

It’s not something we chase or force.
It’s something we create, bit by bit—with how we eat, how we move, how we rest, how we think, and how we show up in the world.

Wild Health isn’t extreme, exclusive, or trendy.
It’s deeply human, curious, creative, and grounded in real life.

It’s about:

  • Making broth from veggie scraps or sipping a garden-grown tea
  • Brewing your first jar of sauerkraut—or just learning what the microbiome even is
  • Swapping out chemical cleaners for something gentle and handmade
  • Honouring your cycle, your seasons, your pace
  • Finding joy in a new routine—or letting go of what no longer serves you
  • Planting food, preserving abundance, or simply slowing down to notice what’s blooming
  • Tuning into your nervous system and choosing rest before burnout takes hold
  • Feeling more connected—to your home, your food, your community, and yourself

Wild Health is where nature, science, and intuition meet.
It’s accessible. It’s adaptable. It’s yours.

Whether you’re living in a high-rise apartment, homesteading on a few acres, navigating a health reset, or just trying to feel better in your body—this space was made with you in mind.

This is wellness that feels like living—not like another job to do.

A smiling woman in a teal tank top and gray cap holds up large, freshly harvested bunches of beets with vibrant green leaves and deep red roots. She stands outdoors in the sunshine, radiating joy and connection to the garden.

Why I Started Wild Health Hub

My journey into health started early, growing up in Canada with a mum who ran a health food store and wellness centre. I was raised on herbal teas, whole foods, and the idea that the body has a remarkable capacity to heal when we support it.

But like many, I lost touch with that over the years. Life got busy. Corporate work crept in. The “shoulds” got louder. It wasn’t until my own health began to falter that I found myself returning to what once felt so familiar, real food, gentle remedies, movement, and rest.

Wild Health Hub is a reflection of that return. It’s a place where I blend 30+ years of experience in fermentation, food science, and holistic living with a deep respect for tradition, culture, and community.

But this isn’t just about my story.
It’s about ours.

Everything here is designed to be practical, accessible, and joyful, not just aspirational.

What We’re Not About

Let’s be clear: this isn’t a space for guilt, fear, or rigid thinking.

You won’t find one-size-fits-all solutions. You won’t be told there’s only one way to eat, move, or live well. And you definitely won’t be asked to strive for perfection.

Wellness, in my experience, is rarely linear. It’s circular. Seasonal. And often messy.
We honour that here.

A Personal Invitation

If this feels like your kind of wellness—one that’s rooted in curiosity, guided by nature, and shaped by everyday choices—welcome. You’re in the right place.

Whether you’re here to learn something new, return to a practice you’ve forgotten, or simply feel less alone in your journey—this space was created with you in mind.

There’s no pressure to get it “right.” No need to overhaul your life overnight.
You can start with a breath. A jar. A moment of presence.
